I’m finally back! The last month of my life has been craaaazzyy busy!
On June 30th, my family flew out of Australia to go and visit our family and friends in South Africa for 3 weeks! I’d been counting down for this holiday for like, 3 months, so I was so excited when we were on our way to the airport. That excitement lasted a total of 1 hour – which was how long it took to drive to the airport – because I soon discovered we that we had 3 flights to endure, one of them consisting of 13 hours.
Anyway, we arrived and had a SPECTACULAR holiday. We visited so many people and holidayed in the Drakensberg Mountains and Kruger National Park with a scenic drive through the border and into Swaziland. It was great to spend so much time with my cousins and my grandparents, who I hadn’t seen in about three years! We took a drive past the house I used to live in, and shopped at just about every mall in South Africa! In Kruger Park, we were lucky enough to see every animal, except leopard, (but they’re rare so that’s okay) and I snapped some cool photos which I’ll put down below for you!
It was so weird to think that we were in a completely different country… Africa and Australia are polar opposites and I realised this for the first time when we went back. Australia is much cleaner, even the roads are cleaner here! And Africa is very dry. This is starting to sound like a pitiful essay about Africa’s harsh natural environment, so I’m going to stop droning on and say that I really enjoyed my holiday! I loved being back in the place that I called home for so many years of my life, and I honestly can’t wait to go back!!!
Sorry that I’ve been so behind on my blog, but I promise I’ll have some new posts coming as soon as I can 🙂 In the meantime, enjoy some pictures of some beautiful African animals!
